This Rovic range has set a precedent in the SA soil ripping industry. On both the Super 19 as well as the DLB 19 tines, the advanced steel curing process, coupled with a sophisticated tine production method, ensures optimal strength under the most adverse conditions, right up to the maximum working depth of 475mm. The unique leaf-spring trip-mechanism on the tines (no shear-bolt), with its minimum breakout force of 800kg, is ideally suited to handle any tough stony working conditions. (By including another leaf-spring, breakout can be increased to 1 060kg.)
The DLB 19 tines have specifically been designed to work in stony soils with high clay content and a medium depth plough bank. The unique design of the shank minimizes the breaking of clods and in doing so facilitates seedbed preparation.
The Super 19 tines in turn have been developed to work in stony/sandy soils with a deep plough bank. The unique design of the shank allows for quick and easy deep penetration in the toughest of soils.
When the tines hit a rigid object, the leaf spring "arches" and thus trips the tine over the obstruction, while the rest of the tines remain at working depth in the ground. This simple, yet effective, trip-mechanism permits trouble-free working with little or no downtime (only two wearing parts).
Frame information:
To match the unrivalled strength of these tines, the Rip-on-the-row implements are manufactured from top quality imported high-tensile steel. The 3 models available allow one to group 2 or 3 sets of tines at 1.5 or 2.3m row spacing. The implements are available as 3-point mounted or trailed and rated for tractors from 108 - 180kW. A range of optional equipment like finger harrows and rollers can be fitted to help with seedbed preparation. (Please click on specification for detailed frame information.)
